Default opinions, comments, advice

gosh darnnit, post was finished then i lost it. here goes again. i got 19 months exp driving for transport america. no accidents, tickets, service failures or cust complaints. i have haz mat and tanker, doubles and triples, metal coils, pass, and tow truck endorsements. 19 months exp driving. now i am moving to tucumcari new mexico on april 9th. way out of our hiring area. such is life. ta was a good training company.
i am willing to pull dry van or learn flatbed. i do insist that i get home for 2-5 days every 4-10 weeks or so. also willing to drive anywhere in usa. my prefernce would be to work sout and southwest and west. also passing thru home on a weekly basis is cool. my home is only 1 mile from both us54 and i-40. i would like to earn at least .35cpm. been thinking about arrow trucking lease purchase plan. i do want to go o/o. any advice, comment or suggestion is welcome. recruiters can call me at 315-719-9365. also you friends can call. blasters will be hunted down and shot.

So, just out of curiosity, what is taking you to Tucamcari, ChopperBob???

I'm just a little jealous; I really dig the desert, especially in the Winter!!

Sorry that I don't have any real advice to offer. I know that there is a reefer co. out that way called Mesilla Valley Transport, although I really know nothing else about them.

Their drivers that I met always seemed nice to talk too, and their trucks seemed nice, but pulling a reefer never was my bag.

C'mon, people!!! Surely someone out there in Cyber-land might have some info!! Wouldn't hurt to Google up some cities around there, and type in "Chamber of Commerce" into the search engine; The C.o.C. could in all likely hood help get you some information, a starting point, at least!!

BOL2U!!!

MVT runs more dry van than reefer, and is based down in Las Cruses. About a 6 hour drive.

Wow! Isn't that a little low on the pay scale at MVT? Also it appears that they require 2 years experience unless you are an MVT school grad.
