shifting
hi all,
i've been driving a super10 transmission on a freightliner for 2 years. the name on the shift was something fullerton, now I switched to a different freightliner with a straight 10 and meritor and now i cant shift worth a darn especially downshifting. can someone give me some pointers that i might not be thinking about. my upshfting is improving but downshifting needs some work. thanks

To Downshift...
wait until RPM's are around 1000 RPMs. Clutch it out of gear. Give it a shot of fuel... usually to about 1300 RPM's. Clutch it into the lower gear. |
