I start orientation with Interstate Distributors (IDC) on Monday. First 3 days is paperwork, U/A, etc. Then a week and a half of training with a local driver. After that I will be assigned an OTR trainer for a total of 4 to 7 weeks.
Its about time! I've been working up to this point for the last 6 months. My bags are packed and I'm ready to hit the open road! :P

You do know I want full details!!!
I start school March 5th Talked to my friend Rob who works for Interstate today, and he is going to see what he needs to do to become a trainer. Told him it would be nice to be trained by him and catch up on old times. His response.... Training is training, your not getting any breaks from me. My response .... I wouldn't want it any other way. If you yell at me and I deserve it, I'll take in in stride, If I don't deserve it, I'm yelling back. He laughed and said fair enough. This all ( his training me ) depends on if they let him keep his truck and also doesn't want to be a full time trainer. He wants to train me and only me. |
