Yes. It is supposed to gross $980. And I can't get anything out of Buffalo. All they haul is insulation and containers. And nothing over 28K lbs. The other driver at the terminal said I would deadhead to Cleveland.

I have nothing against Knight, or any other larger company. I just thought a smaller company would be good. Everyone says "go where they know you by name".

Spence,
What's the name of the outfit and how many power units do they have?

Considering all of the above, it's not such a great rate.
I doubt, that you'll be able to make good money, with that "set up".
Besides their attitude, toward HOS, raises another "red flag"!

I agree.

They only have about 30 power units.

In light of this run, and it being my first run with this company I need opinions.

My plan as of now is to give them a few days. See how legal they allow me to run, how much money I can make, and how much I like/dislike flatbedding.

The most important thing is to see how legal I can run. I feel less than human when they give me 400 miles to run in 4.5 hours. THEN they act like I did something wrong. I mean ...I couldn't even have "cooked the books" and made it LOOK legal.

So ...my question to you fellow truckers... when to say when? :?:

I would give it a few weeks, you can't really judge a book by it cover.
Just keep your nose clean, and don't let them push you.
Remember, it's you career on the line!

Sounds like a great company
Are they going to pay your fine if you get caught with altered log books?

I think I know the name of the company but I'm not saying. I talked to a driver the other night in Illinois who told me the EXACT same story.

I'd say when the second they started insisting I "cook the books".
