I don't rememeber the details but of all the companies I looked at, I was most impressed with Averitt's insurance, at least from the cost aspect.

One reason I am going with CFI is because they have good insurance and they have other good benefits also. I was self employed and couldn't afford health insurance. Had stents put in last year so I also know that health insurance is necessary. That is why I am changing careers. Good Luck!

theres no such thing as good med. ins. unless you are selfinsured if you ask me...Besides, that shouldnt be a factor, since if you dont have a descent company in the first place, you wont need health ins. since they wont feed you if you are starving. Then again some of the better companies might be offering good ins. too...

The best insurance plans in the transportation industry are probably found at union companies and/or major LTL carriers like UPS, and others. Then a tie for second place would be the in house private carriers like Wal Mart, Kraft, etc.

UPS is the best insurance out there. Pay nothing per month for it. Prescriptions are free for generic drugs, $5 for name brand. $10 copay for Doctor, Dentist, Chiropractor. Hospital is $100 copay. Yearly deductible is $50 per individual or $100 for the whole family. Not only do the full-time employees have this insurance, but the part-time employees get the same insurance at no cost to them. We have several women who work part-time just for the insurance. Most of their husbands are self-employed.
