Is that where the new Lowe's DC is. I heard it was down there someplace.
Well, I'd like to wish you the very best of luck in getting back in to big blue.

I think you have made the right choice. I bet Gordon will take you back in a heartbeat, and you're right about Albany.

I know it sucks but you'll find it'll work out in the end one way or the other.

Good luck to you!!

Let her see if the grass is greener. I give it a 50/50 she's begging you back in a few weeks. If not, you'll meet someone new.

I promise

Kona,

It's tough when your with someone while making a living going OTR. The regional suggestion is a good one. My girlfriend gave the same line about being gone for weeks at a pop. Came home did some local work, but that only added an hour or so at night of seeing each other, and 15 mins or so getting ready for work in the am.

Up side was sleeping in our bed together every night , but was miserable. Hated the same thing you stated, seeing the same crap day after day.

Co. I'm with is a regional co. I'm out 5 days home for 2. And 95% of the time it's an honest 48+ hours of home time. I've even got to stop at the house a few times while under a load in the middle of a week.

You'll find someone who understands your career choice, someone who wants to be part of your life no matter what, and will support you regardless if you hold a steering wheel or shovel pig shit for a living.

My girlfriend has come around to understanding that this is my job. This is my life, and shes more then welcome to take part in it. And she even has told me about her pref of the appearance of petes over volvos. And can even tell me if a truck is running straight pipes.8) But there is no obligation on either side to change or lives for either ones job choice, unless of course one of use makes millions, then I think i could handle a beach side cottage:lol:

Just keep doing what your doing, she'll come along, and you won't even know it.

ive found that its a waste of time to butt heads with people.with relatives and relationships they start mouthing off.you head down the road taking care of business. they wonder why you dont come back for more argument and they want something, so they talk so nice.
