Default how bad is it

I have six months under my belt solo and I have two minor preventables on my record. one was a backing incident my first three weeks out. I hit a drivers mirror while backing into a tight spot and the second happened two days ago i hit the hood of a truck in our terminal while trying to pull a trailer out of an icy spot. the second one upsets me because i should know better by now. anyway my point is how much will this effect my future employment if I decide to change companies when my first year is up?

I'd stay put if I were you.

Well, it depends if you're company uses and reports to DAC.

If not, i personally, would not worry about it. These are not traffic accidents.

And you can take that to the bank.

if you are happy with your compant, I think your best bet is to stick it out with them until 1 year has passed since last incident. Most companies are about the same for us newbies. I have only 1.5 years driving. I had a preventable incident after 2 months driving, a branch fell out and speared trailer. Oh well, stuff happens. now I have over 1 year safety and got some neat stuff from the company to boot. Am new to this profession, but, it seems that having 1 year safe driving is sorta important to getting higher pay. I stuck it out and it is now worth it. best of luck bro.

Even without the accidents, the longer you stay with an employer the better it looks when you do decide to make a change. Who knows, you may have found a good home with your current company. 8)
