I too will jump on the bandwagon and say that I loved night driving.

I was mainly used to getting up and going at around midnight and run until the early afternoon, and then have the whole parking lot to pick from when I finished up.

I also did the get up at around 3pm or so and work til dawn. I found myself running harder at night than at day.

The one thing that sucked was when I needed to get preventative maintenance, the shop was only open during the daytime, and they'd have me make runs with a 4-wheeler to the nearby shop to get parts for them, so by the time I was ready to start my day, I was already burnt out and it screwed up my sleep cycle.

But like others said, you definitely spend more time looking out for J-walking 4-legged critters.
