If you would care to take a look at that first picture, you will notice there is no other traffic nearby, so your safe.

Actually at that point it wasn't all that bad. There was enough pack that I was able to get good traction and there was sand on what hills were in the area. The hairy part was where it was just freezing rain before I got to the white stuff. Empty trailer going in to top it off.

No one was running chains, just slow and easy. It was very helpful not having to worry about 4 wheelers. I only saw a handful. That takes allot of the unexpected out of that kind of driving.
