Don't know about now, i came in 92, got my CDL and start driving the same year. Nobody ever asked me about that crap, as long as you have the legal rights to work, so i guess it's just "pumpkin" stupidity! Proof from Russia!  ?????? ???????! 8)

I have a friend from South American and Schneider was the only one that started asking for documentation from his country. Kind of riduculous since they don't allow you in this country legally unless you haven't committed a crime in your home country anyway.

MN...When I moved from Canada I already had my Class A license including Hazmat. All I had to do here was to prove I had the permission to work in the States. I had just obtained my permanent residency card (green card), so that was all I needed to show them. The DOT transferred my Class A to a CDL. No problems. Only thing I had to do was to take my HazMat over. That they would not transfer. I've had no problems or questions from any companies that I applied to for jobs.
