Dago's need to stick together.... Me being 1 to.
My boss would ask me " how did your day go?" and I would say " it's against the law to throw racial slurs you know " with a smile.... I think sometimes he thought I wasn't kidding

Thanks for the words y'all. I am suposed to meet up with my hopefully last trainer soon. This is just a big unknown to me. It's good to hear that is sun light at the end of this tunnel and not a hazmat truck on fire.

Well I got my own truck and your fears have come true for me. I went with LCT in Florida cause I figured I'd more likely get home when I need to. I see more home then I ever imagined. They send you out of Florida and give you twice the time needed to get there. Then I come right back to Florida and you have to shuttle a flower trailer from the Miami terminal back up to their main terminal. Thank goodness I have money in the bank, cause I'd be starving if I was living on what I've been paid so far with them.
I can see what someone said above that they are not going to just throw you out there, but if they see that you can drive and get to where you are going on time, then they should just let you go. It serves the company no purpose to have people sitting in idling trucks like I do 3/4ths of the time. At least I live in Fla, so for instance I had my wife drive up 4 hours to meet me and pick me up. I parked the truck and we had a nice New year's eve and New years day. So instead of making money I spent $500. Well good luck and keep us posted. I was thinking of trying Werner if things don't work out here soon. If i have to I'll go through 20 compies until I find the one that's right for me. no sense in staying someplace and being miserable. As for this company LCT, if I wanted to shuttle trailers between terminals then I'd get a local job and be paid by the hour |
