We are looking to buy a new truck. We have a volvo, but have had a lot of problems with it, (motor, mechanical, etc). Any suggestions as to which way to go? Peterbilt? Freightliner? Thanks in advance for any help.

are either you mechanically skilled? if so, check out cost of parts and cost of replacement motor,tranny,and such. also check history of maintaince. how long do you plan on keeping it. resale value is next to nothing on some models for 2nd and 3rd owner. what freight/ trailer you are gonna do. heavy haul, bulls, dry van, reefer? these are questions you got to decide before buying. how much time both in sleeper, alone, wheel base, engine size? gear ratio? part of country? lots of questions you have to answer. i have and decided on largest engine i can buy from detroit. 18 speed tranny. long wheel base 60"flat top sleeper. body by pete. eventually i am moving from dry van to flat to specialized. just my plan tho. everyone has different needs and requirements from a truck. best wishes and merry xmas

Yeah, without the third axle its not a REAL truck!!!
Either way....Dutch or Brit, that truck is fugly IMO!!!
(And its a cabover too......eeeeeeewwwww!!!)
