When I start drinking soda my BP goes from 115/60 up to 135-140/70 , But I drink the following every day when I'm drinking soda 4-6 Pepsi or Dr.pepper and that's just with meals and then I drink 2-3 16 oz rock stars or 2-3 monsters ...The combination of caffeine's stimulant properties and the ability of that much sugar water to put 7-10 lbs of water on me raises my bp pretty well ...However I doubt you are drinking the quantity that I was . Funny thing is that I was taking in between 1600-1800 calories from the simple sugars in those beverages and I never got fat ...I love my metabolism .

 used to be every 2 years the doc say your pressures a lil high better get it down.then they changed the standards and my boss says he always has drivers going from doc to doc trying to renew.if they give you a diuretic to help you qualify faster throw it out after you get your card.if you continue taking it you will become a diabetic. i cringed when i read the post about all that soda and rockstar as i gave all that up so i could continue driving with type two diabetes. diabetics look at serving size and carbs on package. 15grams of carb =1carb. 2 carbs is a meal except 3 for supper. diabetes will melt that fat and get your pressure down good and thats where lots are going.no coffee pot one cup for early start or alniter. sugar free red bull has 0 carbs or sugar. enjoy
