I just finished my two weeks in Des Moines with TMC and waiting for my trainer to get back in the area. It wasn't a walk in the park as far as the training goes, but it wasn't extremely difficult either. A buddy of mine has been to Des Moines and their other facility in Columbia, S.C., and says the difference is night and day. The people are a lot more friendly in S.C. On top of that, Des Moines has to be the most boring place on Earth! Besides all of that, TMC wants you to run safe and legal! Those two points are stressed a lot. You'll even be taught logbooks all over again to make sure that you understand the laws, and you'll fill them out in your last week while your doing yard and on the road training. If you decide that you want to run illegal - forget about it! They have people who's job is to specifically track you via satellite, and once you run out of hours they call you to shut you down. TMC also runs 13 speeds, so if your school has a truck with one, get some practice if you plan on applying. BOL to you!
