Another trucker found dead in his truck...

The automatic ones are what they have at USX. They told us not to use that button unless it was a true life-threatning situation. Once that button was hit, it signaled through in Qualcomm and also the company. However, it's fully automatic and as soon as that signal was received at Qualcomm, they would send out the police immediately to you.
Sending a message through the normal way (freeform message) - HA - it'd be faster getting a response by standing outside the truck and yelling - even if you was in the middle of texas standing in the desert

ops: ) The trick is to exhale forcefully (i.e. "blow") ANY TIME you are.....ahhh....straining to do something...like they teach expectant mothers to do during labour when they must push. Even the otherwise healthy and/or young can precipitate fainting if they "vagal down"....not always fatal but it can lead to a cardiac event or if it happens while lifting, you faint with a heavy load in yor arms>>>if you die from a head injury or having a heavy load fall on you it might not be as embarrassing as dying on the pot...but you are just as dead! So be careful when lifting or otherwise straining to "get the job done" and be aware of any symptomes especially when alone.... God bless our departed comrade and be with his family and friends. One of my mentors passed that way in his truck in TX and we STILL miss him dearly.

I can't resist. Back when I was working the fire service, we had a guy go to the can. Next thing you know he has a vagal response on the crapper, falls off the crapper and hits his head on the sink vanity. We ended taking him to the ER for a nice 2" gash to his forehead.
Long time for him to live this one down.

There was a driver up here that was found dead in his truck, not from a heart attack, but because he was shot to death in his truck and his load was hijacked, they killed him over a load of frozen chicken
A lot of people don't think about these things when they are on the road but these things do happen |
