If I still hauled a rock bucket I'd resent that remark! But, alas, you're correct. I guess that's why I could never keep up with the other company drivers.

Same old thing. I was driving my pickup to my mother's apartment in Dallas yesterday when an idiot did the same thing. I was rolling along in the right lane. To the right was an on ramp which became a third lane as it headed into the metro area. I guess this guy didn't realize it was a third travel lane and just merged right into me. No turn signal, no brakes, nothing. Just got on and merged right into my right-front fender. I anticipated it though, and watched him the whole time so no harm done. Sometimes I really wonder about these morons driving our highways. We all make mistakes from time to time, but some folks just really don't have a clue and have no business whatsoever behind the wheel of a vehicle of any sort. And I'm definitely not just referring to four-wheelers.

Some local drivers and rock haulers are a joke with their actions behind the wheel yes but I am not. I do not drive like some of them do.

I had a joker nearly drive right into the side of my trailer one day moving equipment with a pilot car shadowing my backdoor since we were going to be going down a very narrow and curvy backroad to drop it. SUV just started merging over into me. I happened to look back in my mirror and saw it coming but had no way of moving over for them, line of cars on the other side of me and no way of tooting my horn to warn them.

Had another truck do the same thing when I was pulling an oversize load. Had to slap on the brakes to keep my trailer behind his so he didn't get into the wider load. I had a concrete median and road signs to my left and him on my right. When he finally realized he was squeezing me, a passenger in my truck could have reached out and touched the side of his truck.

This stuff happens all the time anymore and it shouldn't. Those are just 2 of the many close calls I have had. Too many people get out there on the road and instantly unplug their brains.

Connecticut: oh how i love driving there. i rank them as some of the worse drivers in the world. especially along the i-95 corridor from new haven to NYS line.

Been cut off more times in that state. I got the finger once from a driver there as well. Yeah it was my fault but !@#$ them. I was trying to stop traffic from coming in on me from the right from the get on ramp. Crazy day that was. anyways.

I was driving to work this morning on I68 here in Morgantown, WV when someone in front of me decided they needed to pass the driver in front of them. Now, personally, I'm not quite sure how you could miss an 18 wheeler coming up from your rearview and side mirror, but this guy was able to pull it off. I have to give alot of credit to the trucker for not turning this guy's truck into a compact.
