Yeah,Childress(or anywhere in the panhandle)isn't that far north, but it can get cold, and ugly,at times.
Yeah, there are hog warning signs along 82,from Seymour,to Lubbock. Sometimes, there is a whole family running from one side of the road to the other. I remember the first time that I drove across I-40 in northern Arizona. I saw a sign that threw me completely off. I was like,Whoa!,what in the world was on that sign?! I saw another one a little while later. I never actually got a good look at it. I finally got on the radio and asked. Someone told me they were elk signs.."Lots of elk out here, driver" what someone said. The rest of the day,I was like,

counted 8 deer pancakes on the last 20miles going into Wilmington last week, but where i see the most are when it gets dark on I-85 between Columbus and Atlanta, they are everywhere in the middle and on the sides, last time i tried counting them all and lost count around 50, no joke.
Other than an owl, bat and two squirrels (suicidal little bastards)just wasnt their day, I have been pretty lucky.

Just made a run from Greensboro, NC to Omaha, NE (during the snowstorm) - there were tons of dead deer along the road side. Some of the more recent kills looked like red paint bombs that hit the concrete pavement and stretched out over a 100+ feet long.
