Default Pushed clutch in final turn, failed CDL driving test, ouch!!

I passed my pretrip and scored almost perfect on my manuevers(reverse lane change, straight line back, parallel park) and I was in the very last turn on my driving test (turning into the testing center) and for some reason i pressed the clutch right in the middle of the turn!!!

I had drove the whole route(about 25 min) and was passing didnt go out of gear or clip any corners and then I took the last turn and automatic fail for pressing clutch during a turn.

Actually i am not to upset I test again next week and all I have to do is pass the driving part, the manuevers where what were giving me a headache but i dont have to take them again.

Ohio has a lot of students who have to take CDL 2 or 3 times before passing. Next week will be my 3rd attempt because i failed manuevers the first time.

I,m sure you,ll pass next time.
I never realised a CDL only involved 25 minutes driving. A British H.G.V test must include at least one hours driving.
Anyway, thats beside the point
Good luck next time

Thanks, In my class of 8, only 2 people passed on the 1st attempt (one was a truckdriver who had lost CDL several years back and had to go to school all over again).

If its any consolation to you, my mate in England owns a truck driving school and he told me that approx 65% of applicants will fail first time.
Food for thought eh?
I,m sure you,ll do it!
Go knock em dead (well metaphorically, not literally  )
Let us know when you pass eh?

In New Hampshire we all fail the first time. In fact, some people show up for the test and say something like, "What, is Dunkin Donuts Closed". They get failed on the spot and don't have to waste any more time. Re-test the second time and pass.

and the parallel park manoevre is completely different here too......no cones or lines to go over, least there wasn't on mine it was a P.O.P mate. I passed mu UK CDL in 1989, had 17 years driving then came here and failed my first CDL for a similar thing as the OP....I shifted during a turn out of instinct and got a red card. I thought the examiner was taking the piss.
