The police are estimating he was within the truck speed limit in Michigan so I guess that means the anti-truck crowd won't be able to claim the raised speed limit was the cause.

They probably will anyways, though.

That is so awful.

I went w/hubby last year for 2 1/2 weeks, and we witnessed a similar accident down in AZ; it was only a bit later though that we were told the driver of one of the trucks could not get out and was burned alive. That is the most haunting feeling ever.

Very sad.
