Default Paying for School

Well, Sage wants around $4000 for their school. Well worth it I'm sure. I just quit my job so I don't qualify for certain things like WFIA. I could pay for it but then my wife and I wouldn't have anything to survive on for the next 4-5 weeks. This school doesn't do any company sponsored programs. Any suggestions?

Millis, Roehl, Schieder. You're gonna half to work 4 someone for a year to get some experience why not a company that will pay for your training if you give them a year. All three I listed are good companies that the year won't seem like a prison sentence

I looked at Millis, Roehl, Scheider.. apparaently they don't do any hiring in Colorado. So, perhaps I'll try US Truck Driving School. A school that's not as good. not PTDI certified and puts more than one student in the truck at one time. But, I really want to do this.. so it might be an option.

Have you talked to the school to see what types of financing they may have or know about?

Yeah, what's the deal with out West? Seems like most companies are hiring east of the Mississippi.

Default Hiring Area

"Seems like most companies are hiring east of the Mississippi." That's 'cause most of the country's population is east of the Mississippi, therefore most of the freight is east of the Mississippi. BOL

Default General research site

www.careeronestop.com will allow you to search for Wia training providers in your state. Maybe you can find a better or less expensive alternative.

I had the same dilemma when I went to school. I could have gone to any number of company training schools, but I wanted to have some choice when I got done. So I went to a tech school driving program. I put the $3500 on ol' Mr. Visa.

Some companies offer tuition reimbursement, either by the mile or by time spent with the company. I may go with one of them, but my first choice of company doesn't offer it. But they won't have a trainer available until the end of November, so...
