Pretty soon people will start noticing that and you'll begin to wonder why nobody wants anything to do with you.

Here's your main problem "pissant".... you set yourself to get "pinged", then got a thorough "drubbing"...because of your foolishness, and even still don't have the brains to know when to back off and go either silent, or admit you screwed up. Like someone said: You can't fix stupid....so you may just be a lost cause. As to me.... if you should happen to run up on what you might think is a "mistake" that I made....please bring it to my attention, and then I will show you how a "man" faces up to his mistakes..... something it seems you are not familiar with. But good luck finding a mistake.... Not that I am a braggard or anything... I just don't tend to put my oar in the water when I don't know what I am talking about.... Oh, and lest you be confused about anything else..... please take note of this fact: I have had far better people than you try to insult me, and they failed miserably. 8)

Spencerian...I see we both joined this site in the same month. And I unlike yourself came here for REAL ADVICE. I came here to get a true understanding as to what lies ahead for me as a profession truck driver. I too looked at C. R. England and wanted to go to a company sponsored school, but CRE'S price was ridiculous (3 years of service to them). Lousy first year pay, etc. So, I decided to fund myself through my new career. I now posses my cdl-a license and I AM STILL LOOKING. These nightmare stories of trainers, companies carrot and stick O/O opportunities (?), EVERY company touting their own great starting pay (LMFAO), have left me with a short period of time to start applying. I have an extremely short short list and STILL I am undecided as to who I am going to apply to. I am not expecting anything less than "An honest days work for an honest days pay". I realize I'm am NEW, and with NO EXPERIENCE. I came to these boards for all the knowledge that these (Well MOST...lol) have earned in their lives on the road. Ask yourself as to why you came here in the first place. Was it for information, or something else? Only you can answer this. Coming here to tell others that they can "Kiss your arse" is NOT conducive to getting serious replies, perhaps only scorn. I am NOT here to pile on---to the contrary---I hope you turn your situation around. BOL to you......New

I did too. I asked for POSTS of disgruntled CRE employees. The only reply I got was to "just look, they're everywhere". I did see unhappy lease operators, but not company drivers. I too looked at C. R. England and wanted to go to a company sponsored school, but CRE'S price was ridiculous (3 years of service to them). I am not bound by any length of service. In fact ALL CRE drivers just sign a note that pays back Eagle Financial, not service for CRE. Ask yourself as to why you came here in the first place. Was it for information, or something else? Only you can answer this. Coming here to tell others that they can "Kiss your arse" is NOT conducive to getting serious replies, perhaps only scorn. That comment came from me AFTER the flaming. The initial post was made over 2 weeks ago. I went back to training and come home to read all the "I told you so's", and "Yer and idiot" replies. I am NOT here to pile on---to the contrary---I hope you turn your situation around. BOL to you......New Thanks for that! I appreciate it. (no sarcasm, I really do.)

Whew, lol, glad I did a lot of research for 4 months before I made my career change!!!!lolol.
31 years as a tech. You guys on here are great, you pull no punches and I like that. I did research on 4 sites for 4 months. Trucknet's cool too. A lot of same guys on both. I used search feature exrensively. I took a ton of notes. I used WIA to help finance my schooling and paid the other half out of my pocket. Best decision I made, not commiting to any one but choosing who I wanted after I had my license. I chose Falcon for several reasons, and they have panned out , only because of my research. They have a lot close to me and my dedicated ,partly , route is close also. I average 1k a week with them flatbedding, but it's far from easy. My trainer trained me as a team but I stuck it out because I wanted to be in my own truck as soon as possible. I spent 4 days 1st week, 3 days 2nd week, 4 days 3rd week and 3 days 4th week and they put me in my own truck . The first day I drove 10 hours to Nashville while he slept in the seat, but I just took it in stride and when I needed any thing I woke him up and he helped out. I knew not to expect too much. He was a nice guy but trained as a team and I let him have his way most of the time unless I deemed it unsafe then demanded my way, which he would comply. We ran hard, and I knew it would be the case for most places. Now on my own I run hard but never go over 11 hours driving. I may be creative on some of my breaks, but thats it. I never use an alarm clock, I sleep until I'm rested. Some of the shippers and recievers make you, or you may have to , wait a while and that can cramp the logs so you have to sleep when you can , lol. If I drive and get tired I pull over for a nap because I'd rather loose time then my life. Some how I always get it worked out. One thing we all have to take in mind is, you never stop learning. There are a ton of dastardly things out here in trucking but also a lot of good, you must learn to decipher whats, what. I got close to a destination last week and asked over the cb what road to take in and 3 drivrs told me the wrong road on purpose so they could beat me into the shipper, lol.I drove 6 miles on a back road befroe I could get turned around, but I have to blame myself, I always have to wait so long to call my dispatch because she is so busy so I thought I would just do it on my own and got burned, live and learn. I have learned that in flatbedding drivers will do any thing to beat you in at the last moment because for every truck that gets ahead of you it's about an hour extra to your getting loaded or unloaded. I usually get some where the night before and park in the lot if I can t be first . It has worked out pretty good for me and is usually quieter than truck stops. I also stay in Walmarts a lot, easy to shop and rest, lol. Good luck to all who drive and remember, it's not for the squemish, rofrofrofrofrof.

Sometimes you eat the bar,Sometimes the bar eats you! Sad part is I said before anyone would abuse me they would have a few missing teeth. But then again does violence solve anything? NO, but it sure makes you feel good after!!!!!!!!
