With any truck, the highest gear you should be in on a turn is the highest gear on the low side.

Anyway the speed range for a 9 speed....at least it will give you a starting point.

45 mph you should be in top gear, and 10 mph slower for each lower gear in the high range.

At about 15-20 mph you should be down to low range.

I don't know man, with our trucks at gordon (10 spd meritors) 6th gear is the perfect gear to grab while exiting a turn @ 15 or so mph.

dont learn by looking at the speedo! Learn by the rpms! Although uturn is right fot the average truck, the only way to be sure is go by rpm, and that will vary by engine....If you have a D60 then upshift when u get to about 1750, lower when going downhill; Downshift when u get to about 1100-1200 so u end up in the lower gear about 1500 or so. Max engine rpm for a D60 is 2250 rpm i believe!

use your tachometer. A generic approach to pretty well all 9 and 10 speeds I have ever driven with pretty much every engine is upshift every gear at 1800rpm and down shift at 1200 rpm every gear. Again this is very generic but has always worked for me.
