Casual is just fine jeans are ok too. You will be shocked to fined out that most companies just want to put meat in the seat.

place I used to work part time was a meat packing/finished processed plant. Refer type, drivers from CR England, Swift, and C.R.L. Most of them wore shorts and a grungy T when they showed up

What I was always taught, for any type of employment interview, dress for the job as if you can start immediately.

For trucking jobs I always wore decent jeans and either a polo type shirt or a plain t-shirt that is in good shape.

It's amazing how many drivers show up in a ratty t-shirt and dirty jeans. I guess they think they're still out on the road. I always show up for anything in clean, good fitting jeans, an undershirt, and a tucked-in button-up shirt. Clean boots too, even they're old work boots. At least knock the dust off of 'em before entering the office. In this profession you don't have to look like you're working Wall Street, just dress-casual will do. Even that's over-doing it for some of these jobs. 8)

Listen,

I know that the advice being offered you is well intended, but it is also woefully misguided. REMEMBER: This is a TRUCK DRIVING JOB we are talking about, so dress as a driver would.

1st:

Throw out your shaving cream, razors, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, and laundry detergent. You will not be needing them anymore.

2nd:

When it comes to attire, you can start out with the "Will Work For Food" look. As you progress, you can build your wardrobe to include chewing tobacco stained sleeveless undershirts.

BOL2U!!
