If you want the truck you can have it, but your not going to kill me for giving it to you.

I know they would never allow me or others to carry for protection! They just would not issue permits. Isn't your permit only good for the state? Or do all states honor it? Goin Fer It's Wife

It is very hard to get a CCW in California....very hard. I dont know of any that the department that I worked for ever handed out. I think at one time a reserve officer didnt have the authority to carry off duty and the chief issued all of them CCWs but that is it.
They are still working the bugs out of the Federal Statute that allows us to carry everywhere, but in the mean time I dont know of any dept anywhere that is not allowing it.

I believe that LEO cannot protect the public. And if your dead that is when they step in. I guess you know that and that is why you have your permit. Heck Ed Davis had armed police guarding his home and patrols would come by all the time. With that type of protection I would feel safe too! I don't have a permit up here. I am thinking of buying a gun and getting a permit to carry as I heard that BIG LOTS was robbed the other night by gunpoint. If more responsible citizens armed themselves people would not be so apt to commit the crimes as they would not know who does and who does not have a gun. Goin Fer It's Wife

I had to go to Dallas once on an investigation. I called ahead to let them know we would be working in their city and would be armed. The Lt on duty told me that it was a good thing because everyone else in town would be too......
I love Texas....
