Just hauled a load of empty(but well used!) whiskey barrels out of the Segrams plant in Lawrenceburg, IN up to the Crown Royal distillery in Gimli, MB...an hour north of my house. I thought I was gonna get drunk off the fumes coming out of the trailer when I opened the doors to check the securement of the load...Potent stuff!!

I hauled used Jack Daniels barrels cut in half from Lynchburg, TN to some nameless, faceless Wal-Mart DC. Wal-Mart sells them as places to pot plants.

This is how interesting my trucking career has been. Recently I picked up 3 crates of sculptures from the warehouse to deliver to the new terminal being built at the Toronto airport. When I arrived I was greeted by engineers and interior designers who supervised the off-loading.

a few years ago i had the pleasure of p/u a load on a navy airfield and delivering it to navy pier for a destroyer. had to pallet jack the stuff to back of the wagon then forklift, to a crane then onto the ship. sent to the wrong pier twice had to do a turn around on one always nice seeing the back of the trailer over the ocean and praying i didnt scratch the ship.
cool but not fun.

The compay I work for also haul the old, unuseable barrels from the Crown Royal plant in Gimli, Mb to a guy in TN...I can't remember the name of the town right now, but he cuts 'em in half and sells them as flower pots as well.
