Hey There Truckers! I need your help, big time! There are some wonderful people in different areas of the U.S. that have been having item drives and collecting relief items for tornado victims. One problem...they don't have anyone to move the load to areas hit hard by tornadoes recently. Here are three people that need someone to deadhead their loads:
1) Jay McAnnally (Chaplain)
[email protected]
770-294-0142
Chaplain McAnnally has enough relief items to fill at least one 53-foot tractor-trailer. He needs over-the-road trucks to go from ATLANTA and CHATTANOOGA to JOPLIN, MO. No refridgeration needed. If he can't get a truck this week, he will have to pass the items on to charities locally. Please call or email Jay if you think you can help him.
2) Carol
616-291-0410
Carol, bless her heart, has worked hard to collect furniture, clothing, toys, and other relief items for tornado victims, but she needs a 24 foot straight truck, at a minimum. The items are in a storage unit in Wyoming, Michigan (kind of confusing that the city is Wyoming and the state is Michigan). She has permission to have the truck loaded right from the storage unit. Carol would like all items to go to Christian Service Mission in Birmingham, AL (the address is 3600 3rd Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35222 and their hours are 9 A.M. to 2 P.M., Monday through Saturday. They are closed on Sundays). No refridgeration needed. Carol is able to work on your timeline. Also, since it is through Christian Service Mission of Birmingham, you can write off the deadhead trip on your taxes (some paperwork/signatures required). Please call her if you can help. Her husband used to be a trucker so please hook this nice couple up.
3) Shannon
[email protected]
Shannon needs a truck that would be loaded from her house in Alabaster, Alabama and going to Hackleburg, Alabama. Hackleburg’s town was hit REALLY hard by the tornado. Shannon planned to load and deliver Saturday, June 11th or Sunday, June 12th, but she can work with your schedule. She has a couch, loveseat, table, chairs, mattresses, bedframe and a bunch of smaller things so she would not need a large truck. A deadhead would be great or a 16 or 18 foot truck. If you can help, please email Shannon.
Please help these good people to help tornado victims. There are so many victims left with nothing that could use these items.
God Bless and God Speed!
