Great movies

dont have to be trucker movies.

The last one I went to with my husband was Borne Ultimatium. It was awesome, and so intense that my palms where sweating. I love the action. Then before that I took the boys to Transformers. So so cool, Im totaly buying it Oct16. It was way intense too I wanted to run right out and sign my boys up from the military " Lets rock n roll". Michael Bay does great job with action.

List your movie and review or comments. Take turns, no don't have to all post at the same time now. Take it easy there is plenty of room for everyone. I m just playin Im not that crazy just wishing it was more crowded in here

shyykatt 10-10-2007 01:43 AM

There are 2 threads on 'movies' over in 'anything & every.."

Trukrswyfe 10-10-2007 04:26 PM

Oh hey thanks Shy,

I saw those two but thought they were only for trucker movies. I didn't want to add Transformers to a list of adult men movies. Or Becoming Jane , No I haven't seen that on yet. My husband said he would take me but I was afraid his snorring would get on other movie goers nerves.

Trukrswyfe 12-05-2007 03:17 AM

I want to see that chic flick movie PS I Love You. Hope it is good, I hear that In the Land of Women is good.

Roadhog 12-05-2007 09:32 PM

My favorite movies are the comedies ...no surprise...huh.

I rarely go to the Cinema, and usually wait for the films to come out in DVD.

My most recent was "Wild Hogs."
with Travolta, Allen, Lawerance, Macy, Liotta,
and HOT cha cha ooo La La hubba hubba Marisa Tomei... http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l2.../nocontrol.gif

Being a hog and a biker myself...it was close to my heart.
I give it a full 5 light bulbs.

Loved that movie and I mentioned it first on this thread.

" If we wanted piss we would drink it cold" so many funny lines I only remember this one and the one about the trucker clogging the toilet.

You should really watch Transformers awesome movie.

Oh yeah one all time fav October Sky.

Jackrabbit379 12-06-2007 04:01 PM

I give it a full 5 light bulbs.

That was a good one. I liked that one dude, the computer geek. His Apple tatoo.
And Peter Fonda coming in to the movie. That was awesome. 8)

Roadhog 12-06-2007 04:15 PM

Trukrswyfe 12-06-2007 05:55 PM

William H Macy is a very funny guy especially in this movie.

I love those Christmas movies that are coming out right now. Jingle All the Way, Home Alone,

As far as chick flick Little Woman is a fav, I have five sisters so I can relate.

Roadhog 12-08-2007 02:15 PM

I haven't seen "Ratatouille" yet, but have a feeling I'll like it. I've always loved Pixar films. Haven't seen "The Simpson Movie", "Shrek The Third",
"Pirates of the Carribean: At Worlds End" and "Spiderman 3" , which I am anxious to see.

My local Library (easy 1/2 mile walk from my house) gets these movies around 6 months or so, after they are released to DVD. I can rent them for $1 and keep them 4 days. That's usually how I get the movies I want to see. I am like a year behind everyone else...

The Simpsons Movie was alright. For a $1 I'd rent it but wouldn't waste the money to see it in a theater.

Pirates on the other hand is great that was the first movie I've seen in awhile that was really intertaning.

Ratatouille acording to my sister isn't all that funny.

Trukrswyfe 12-08-2007 10:37 PM

Pirates is hot, One you love and One you hate that you love. Good Good Good,

Shrek the Third is funny. We rent from the red box only a dollar a day.

We Were Soldiers is High Octane, So is Borne, Jason Borne,

Just watched Hot Rod Stupid, I hate really stupid humor.

Roadhog 12-08-2007 10:43 PM

This trailer of Ratatouille had me laughing my butt off! hehehe heeeeeeeeeeee!
http://youtube.com/watch?v=mQvXQEhMtDk

"I don't wanna eat garbage DAD!!!!
...what is that???
I don't really know...
you don't know...and you're eating it!
..you know, if you could sorta muscle your way past the gag reflex- all kinds of food possibilities open up"

 :P hahahaha

Ratatouille was good. I liked it. Seemed different than the other Pixar films, but it was good.

The new Pirates is also good. Surely, they will make another one. They have to! :D

I will give      to the movie, No Country for Old Men. My wife, and I watched it tonight. We just got home.
Tommy Lee Jones plays a sheriff of a west Texas town. He is so funny, and the movie is very exciting. Keeps ya on the edge of your seat, but....the end sucks! Everyone in the theater was like, what?!?
Very good movie, but at the end, no point.

Trukrswyfe 12-15-2007 02:50 PM

Watch In the Land of Women funny it reminded me of someone, hmmm, someone from Michigan..... I wonder who

The guy is single and writes sleezy smut on the internet. And has very interesting relationships with females. Huh. Wasn't really all that great but funny coincidences.

Then watched Bourne Ultimatium Loved it

Trukrswyfe 01-05-2008 04:02 PM

it was pretty good, but chicken run was better

mommee 01-08-2008 04:56 PM

Ratatouille made me hungry as I was watching it. I wanted to go eat at some fine restaurant and have a gourmet meal.

I enjoyed "American Dreamz". A farce on the American Idol show.

shyykatt 01-08-2008 05:35 PM

Recently watched "Shooter"; that was pretty good.

Twilight Flyer 01-08-2008 06:42 PM

All three of the Lord of the Rings movies =

That constituted one of my greatest movie watching experiences. We scored tickets to the back to back to back pre-release showing of the third one. So we got to watch the extended version of the 1st one, the extended version of the 2nd one, and then the first showing of the 3rd one, all in the same day and night at a brand-new stadium-seating theatre. :) Talk about epic!

On that note, Peter Jackson was signed a couple of weeks ago to direct the Hobbit in not one, but TWO movies. WHOO HOOO! Can't wait for that!

Other movies I would consider excellent, easily      movies:

Groundhog Day (one of my favorites)

Scrooged

Die Hard

Any of the Star Wars movies (we're big fans)

Independence Day

The Matrix (first one only...the others weren't anywhere near as good)

Mr. Holland's Opus (the one movie guaranteed to make me cry, no matter how many times I've see it, and it's been quite a few.)

Pirates of the Carribean...I loved all three of them.

There are certainly others, too. We are going to see I Am Legend tonight...I have no doubt I'll be ranking that up there with my favorites, too.

RebelDarlin 01-09-2008 04:32 AM

Geez TF you stole almost my whole list!!

All three of the Lord of the Rings movies =

Girl Interrupted

Hidalgo     Beautiful movie

Sideways

13 Going on 30

Clerks

Swingers

Man from Snowy River

Rocky Horror Picture Show :idea::idea::idea::idea: (Used to go every weekend back in the day)

RoadHouse :idea: (Not a GREAT movie but a friend of mine is in it and I LOVE Sam Elliot)

ANYTHING WITH JOHNNY DEPP!!!

Twilight Flyer 01-09-2008 12:33 PM

We saw "I Am Legend" last night.

Easily one of the most disturbing and terrifying movies I've ever seen. Absolutely fan-freaking-tastic.   Definitely a movie where you'll go home and sleep with the lights on.

I've heard some rumblings that he might get tapped for an Academy Award nomination for that movie. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Really? Well, I may have to watch that one. We thought about seeing that one, but we've seen some of the others.

Twilight Flyer, if you like Tommy Lee Jones, go see "No Country For Old Men."

Twilight Flyer 01-09-2008 08:39 PM

You know what was so cool about I Am Legend? No blood, no brutal head-ripping violence. It was just so believable and so well-acted...I've got claw marks in my left arm from where my wife grabbed me an held on. Gore-freaks looking for gallons of blood will probably be disappointed. But this movie scares worse than any other movie I've ever seen, slasher or none, and I don't scare easily.

Can't wait to see it again.

mommee 01-09-2008 11:36 PM

One movie that I enjoy watching again and again is "American Beauty". It's a little off the beaten path, but great.

Maybe my tastes in movies are just on the weird side.

RebelDarlin 01-15-2008 02:30 AM

Anybody see Farce of the Penguins? It's a spoof of March of the Penguins. Very funny stuff...
