I am Legend :!: :!: :!:

Ok so someone here recommended it. The death of the dog had all three my boys crying and agruing with each other over who was or was not crying, and then keep repeating it's just a movie while my seven year old climbed into my lap. I hated that part,

Enchanted :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

Ok so I watched their manly movies so they all watched mine. Funny they really enjoyed this movie Toooo. And at the end were surprised at how much they like it. Course it is really a girly girl flick so men ...
I loved it the whole thing was cute.

Regarding "I Am Legend." I saw it twice in the theatres and picked up the extended version DVD when it came out this week. The extended version has a completely different ending than the theatrical version and that ending completely changes the entire premise of the movie. As much as I loved the movie in the theatres, the alternate ending movie was even better. Definitely up there among my top 3 or 4 favorite movies now.

Unless the dog makes it.... I don't think I could consider buying the DVD... My kids are absolute animal lovers and it broke their little hearts to see that. So tell me does that part change? His cure works on the Samantha?

side note... the movie about my dog named skip ( I think it was) the terrier ..Old yeller... Where the Red fern grows... Sons love anything with a dog in it but when the dogs dies....They HATE the movie and won't watch it again.

Twilight Flyer 03-21-2008 03:17 AM

I watched Old Yeller and Where the Red Fern Grows...agree with you, too. I can never watch them again. No, Samantha still doesn't make it. Sorry. But the alternate ending is still phenominal.

worldisnotenough 03-21-2008 03:26 AM

two movies!

Watership down and Inbanana Jones and temple of Goons! Great flicks.

mommee 03-21-2008 03:53 AM

I loved Watership Down. Bigwig. I thought it was violent for a cartoon at the time I saw it. Especially when the bad rabbits ripped apart the one and killed him.

worldisnotenough 03-21-2008 04:05 AM

There's a dog loose in the woods!

Trukrswyfe 04-02-2008 08:03 AM

Atonement

Not such a good movie.

Zodiac

Interesting, but wierd, l enjoyed all the great actors in the film though.

Twilight Flyer 04-02-2008 08:29 AM

Watched August Rush the other night...went right up to the top of my most favorit movies. Excellent, excellent, movie.

Trukrswyfe 04-03-2008 03:52 AM

I haven't seen

Top Gun in a while, but was thinking about watching it, we used to know all the lines as kids.

I also miss, great cartoons that my kids are missing out on.

Like The Jetsons

or The Flinstones, Husband reminds me or Fred except replace the bowling with flying. But the meal sizes are exactly the same. The whole half a teradactle dinosaur.

worldisnotenough 04-03-2008 10:03 AM

Blame it on Rio! Sorry that avatar just reminded me of that movie.

Trukrswyfe 04-04-2008 02:40 AM

Alvin and the Chipmunks

Not so good,

So far Transformers is still the highest on My list

Its time for the Summer Blockbusters to come out and yet I have heard of nothing in the works,

Has anyone else? I really enjoy summer action, double meaning.

Twilight Flyer 04-04-2008 03:02 AM

Its time for the Summer Blockbusters to come out and yet I have heard of nothing in the works,
Some good ones coming out...

Ironman

Narnia (Prince Caspian)

Dark Knight

To name a few...

BTW, I thought Transformers was good, too. The 2nd one is in the works...not sure when it's supposed to be released, though.

mommee 04-04-2008 08:15 AM

Can't wait for The Dark Knight. I used to watch the Batman cartoon based on the Dark Knight.

Twilight Flyer 04-04-2008 08:38 AM

The new Indiana Jones movie comes out in May, too.

mommee 04-04-2008 08:44 AM

I loved the Indy movies, but don't you think he is getting too old?

I think I have Guitar Hero snydrome, my hand hurts.

Twilight Flyer 04-04-2008 08:51 AM

Harrison Ford is in remarkably incredible shape for being 65. I've seen the scenes to the new movie...classic Indy. And he did all his own stunts, too. Gotta love that.

I think I have Guitar Hero snydrome, my hand hurts.
I know the feeling. The tips of my fingers on my left hand and my the wrist of my right hand have told me I need to take a week off. :)

mommee 04-13-2008 02:47 PM

I just saw "Blades of Glory". I laughed so hard. It was that funny. Will F. doing his routine to "The Stroke" was a riot. When I heard the theme from "Flash Gordon" for the final routine, I almost fell out of my chair. "Flash Gordon" was a really bad movie, but I watch it over and over when I see it on.

Twilight Flyer 04-14-2008 02:13 AM

Saw "10,000 BC" last week. Not a bad flick at all...definitely enjoyable.

Trukrswyfe 04-21-2008 05:45 AM

Juno....

for bringing back funny memories.

Strangly similar in the fact that I was a Junior in High School and knocked up. The rest was definitely not, my family kicked my butt to the curb, I kept the baby, and It was not due to one act.

I could relate to being a freak walking around for nine months, but my male teachers rocked. I was always excuse to vomit in my second period and allowed to snack in my third. Love coah Hoff. The men teacher were cooler that the women. Though I had one nice woman teacher that gave me baby clothes. I remember having to squeeze the belly into those terribly small chairs, talk about funny moment waiting to happen.

Interesting

Twilight Flyer 04-21-2008 06:31 AM

Wife and I saw Forbidden Kingdom when it released on Friday. Jackie Chan & Jet Li. Excellent movie...good storyline, the action was great and Jackie Chan can be pretty funny. The fight scenes were definitetly good and there were a couple of kick-ass women martial artists, too. Whoo Hoo! But the highlight was definitely a long fight scene between Chan and Li. Those two guys are freakin' nuts!

RebelDarlin 04-21-2008 07:28 AM

OMG! Go Speed Racer GO
Yup....thats "dating" us....one of my favorites when I was a "youngin'"
Always wanted a "Mach 5".... :)

RebelDarlin 04-29-2008 03:45 AM

I know it's 'dating' us, but did you look at the video? The computer animation is amazing! It's come a LONG WAY since Tron!

Drew10 04-29-2008 04:28 AM

Yes...Looked at the vid...(fortunatly Broadband speed in Lake Station). It was amazing. They kept with the original opening song pretty good too, with just enough of todays stlye mixed in.
(Tron...more memories... :) )

Twilight Flyer 04-29-2008 06:35 AM

You may have been as old as your youngest (you may not have even been that old yet) when Tron was around. Man...I put alot of quarters into Tron....

BabyMomma looks funny.

RebelDarlin 04-30-2008 07:54 PM

TRON, the movie is a classic, way ahead of it's time. Actually because of how they filmed it, it still looks pretty good.

Trukrswyfe 05-02-2008 04:34 AM

I am looking forward to the "New Indiana" movie....

Thinking of doing a marathon of all the old movies first.

I hope it isn't disappointing from what I remember.

But seeing the clip reminded me of another old movie I want to revisit.

Romancing The Stone ~ starring Michael Douglas and Kathline Turner.

They had some great chemistry. :P

Twilight Flyer 05-02-2008 06:09 AM

Romancing The Stone ~ starring Michael Douglas and Kathline Turner
Saw that again a couple months ago...wife and I love that movie. I remember years ago Michael Douglas doing and interview about that movie. Remember the scene where they slide down the muddy hill? Apparently, the position they ended up in (his head between her legs) was an accident. Michael Douglas was saying in the interview "It wasn't scripted like that, but I'll always be grateful for the stuntman leaving me in that position."

:P

dobry4u 05-02-2008 06:17 AM

Saw Iron Man last night at an early viewing. That movie was fantastic. The audience applauded at the end. Haven't been to a movie where they did that in a long time. Excellent movie... even worth the price of popcorn to boot!

Trukrswyfe 05-03-2008 02:40 AM

One Missed Call

not so scary, but a little freaky.

Thinking of older movies that thrill

SWF

Crazy but good

Hand that Rocks the Cradle

Kids slept outside in a tent so they wanted to be scared when they went to sleep. The cell phone movie was cool, cuz I just called my phone to scare them.

That movie "ROCKED" (no pun intended). Had me on the edge of my seat.

Twilight Flyer 05-05-2008 01:04 AM

Yep, I agree that the Hand that Rocked the Cradle was seriously disturbing. :)

And I took my son to see Iron Man on Saturday. Packed house...audience went nuts. Phenominal movie...Robert Downy Jr. was excellent as Tony Stark. Will probably take wife to see it this week.
