or would that action, the carrying out of the duties and the record of it, in itself constitute an aforementioned, yet unspoken, somethingness?
It would all depend on what part of the Great Vast Northland you are standing on at the time you thought there may be somethingness to a topic about Nothing but then again, I digress!!!

Oh, by the way, it's SNOWING in Michigan and I'm missing all the fun and excitement

Hanged_Man 04-24-2005 05:22 AM

Oh, so is there a dependance, some kind of interconnection, between between a sub section of the Great Vast Northland and this thread that is direct and immediate, or is it that the penalties of somethingness is imposed subsequently by a regional system of governement, perhaps through the SSA, although I don't know what that agency stands for?

Doctor Who 04-24-2005 05:26 AM

In actual plain everday American English the quest is for a fine looking ass... Hmm doesn't sound too much out of the ordinary, run of the mill, day for a weary, overworked driver!!!

Where is Harvey Danger when his assistant needs him??? Did he run off with the lady in the metal nighty??? What a concept, dirty deeds done in a sleeper, sounds like a new chapter in the never continuing saga of Strangers in a Sleeper, no, wait, that should have been.... truck!!!!
Sorry "callipygian" has struck!!!

Doctor Who 05-14-2005 09:53 AM

Imagine riding down the road and seeing this in the early morning haze or bright moon lit night!!!

Got to love the dudes "ENTHUSIASM"

Rambler 06-03-2005 09:58 PM

If memory serves me, the greeks did not persribe to the theory of nothing. Well at least less than nothing, consider the Romans, we have all been exposed to their numeracle system ie roman numerals, however its interesting to note that the Romans via the Greeks had no symbol for Zero. In short the concept of nothing was perhaps not alien to them in phylosophy, but most certainly nothing in a more tangent sense was not recognized. To coin a phrase, there's always something.
Interesting note....given that nothing ie Zero was not considered a value in the ancient days of the greek mathematicians, isnt it interesting that they, the greeks, were able to contribute so much without nothing?

Rambler 06-03-2005 10:05 PM

THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT!!!!

A great trucker movie from the early 40's starring George Raft and Humphrey Bogart....

No, this will not be a review of the movie but more like a modern version of driving into the night....

Watch this space as the project develops...

Twilight Flyer 08-25-2005 04:21 AM

Sounds like a Night of the Living Dead sequel. :D

yoopr 08-25-2005 04:48 AM

UH Yeah, the flic was called THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT

And for Flyer I thought the LIVING DEAD is what recruiters are called besides the derogatory words and phrases that usually are associated with recruiting

08-28-2005 06:14 AM

VOICE OVER CB: "I'd shoot myself if I had to drive a slow truck!"

RESPONSE: Driver, I have a .44 right here to help you with your quest!!!!!

Doctor Who 10-08-2005 05:20 AM

Don't let Flyer fool you, he spends every spare moment reading this thread just trying to come up with something better than nothing.

It still is fun driving at night, the loonacy and antics of the general public is a sight to behold and to deflate pompus egos after pouring $100 in the SUV gas tank is priceless....

At one time the popular Trucker belief was that a driver could make better time at night, well, that may have been true at one time but with more and more states shifting road construction to the dark hours that philosophy has been ripped apart, sort of like the ever present URBAN LEGEND!!!

beaner 10-10-2005 07:35 AM

Doctor Who 10-11-2005 08:11 AM
