As well they should, Mackman!! If a driver is willing to play fast and loose by drinking A beer and then climbing into a big truck, there is no reason to believe that he would stop at one.

Sorry, but my family has to share the roads with too many drivers like that as it is!!

i dont mean in a big truck if it is in a big truck yes hang him. A buddy of mine just got a dui had 3 beers. Just over the limit. Now he was to pay around 5,000. Go to AA classes I just think that is a little much. AM not supporting drinking and driving but 3 beers???

When I worked in EMS I responded to numerous accidents involving people who were impaired who were "just over the limit." So yes, your friend got exactly what he deserved. I'd be happier if he did some jail time, but at least he had to pay $5000.

Speaking as a degreed RN, I will second what greg3564 said.

The problem with the "Only3 Beers" defense is that reflexes and judgement capacities are compromised, but not always in a manner that is discernable by the person who has been drinking. Those seemingly subtle lapses and impairments can, and all too often, DO result in serious injury or death, and it's not always the drinker who suffers the injuries.

Sorry, Mackman, but your friend screwed up, and he's not going to receive any sympathy from me!!

Useless you are 100% right he did screw up and he is paying for it. He knows right from wrong. He knows the laws. All i was tryin to say is some one can steal from the store or someones house and get a lesser judgement the a hard workin guy you had one to many beers at dinner. Well am done with this i know this will be a losing battle.

Actually, the industry would be going down the tubes if they didn't have to ask.

And the answer is "no" you can't drive a truck if you have been convicted of a felony. And "no" you can't drive a truck if you have a DUI. So doesn't that mean the industry is improving?

BTW, anyone driving a truck at 102 is an O/O. And some of them are O/O's because no one will hire them.

and at 102 they lose thier CDL. at that speed it should be for life

Not Sure Who Said This, But.........

Useless:
Don't know where this poster heard that, but nothing could be further from the truth. I know several felons who are driving. With one exception, the work for Outlaw companies.

Wrong again!!

As for the bit about some drivers who are O/O's because no one else will hire them, there may be a few, but if their records are that bad, then finding anyone who would insure them would be extremely difficult.

Whoever posted these comments is coming off as a real "Armchair Driver"/Poser!!
