Insight into Long Haul Trucking
#1
Hi all,
We are developing a enterprise software platform for the trucking industry, called Truckish. The platform will provide multitude of services like tracking, dispatch, and ELD compliance at fraction of the current costs. We are a funded startup based out of Nashville, TN and are looking for some real world knowledge from truckers to customize our service offerings based on what people need. We would like to do a two to three hour in-person interview. We will be explaining our product in detail and request a written feedback on our product and the services offered on the platform. We can provide compensation for your time and assistance (in form of prepaid visa cards). Let me know if you are based in or around Nashville or pass through Nashville and have time to do an interview. You can reach me via email: [email protected]. Looking forward to meeting y'all. Thanks and Regards Aayush Thakur

While I won't be anywhere near Nashville, one big thing I'm seeing with my company that would be helpful, a better heads up for scale houses. We have Drivewyze which uses our Qualcomm box to alert us 1-2 miles ahead. It's nice, WHEN THE SYSTEM doesn't lose signal. Or would be nice at night if it automatically kicked the screen on. I drive at night with my screen turned off. Get near a scale, I have to remember to turn my screen on manually, an unneeded distraction. Making the screen come on by itself for a scale warning would be very helpful.

Hi Ford95,
Thanks for your reply. I hadn't considered this issue yet. I think this should be pretty doable as all we need is to geocode the locations of the scale house (or weigh-in motion stations) and have the device screen light up whenever you are in close proximity. Anything you can highlight about meeting the HOS compliance and ELD will be very helpful. Thanks and Regards Aayush |
