Default What are you thankful for?

Hi. I'm a writer for trucking-related companies (Freightliner, Western Star, RoadKing, Wilson etc.) and I'm working on a November article about gratitude. So I'd like to know -- what are you most thankful for?

Thanks,

I am grateful for many things. I am grateful that I grew up at a time when we still had real freedom in this country. I am grateful that I still have the freedom to worship as I please. I am grateful for my family and friends. I am grateful that I work in an industry where I can see the country and get paid for my travels Even though I have traversed this nation many time over several decades, there is always something new to see and experience. I am grateful that I have managed to survive in this business which has had many ups and downs. I am grateful that I have not been corrupted by what is going on in my country and I have not lost my optimism.

I'm thankful for my daughter and our first Thanksgiving at home as a family. A year ago she was still at Children's Hospital, just weeks old fighting to stay with us while I had no choice but to get back to work to pay the bills.

I am still alive. Every day for me is considered a blessing anymore. My double strokes 14 years back wiped out so much brain tissue that I was given a 1% survival rate to 10 years and .01 Percent for every year past that based on the people that had lived from the ones that I had. Well 14 years later I am stick kicking and screaming and tell the Grim Reaper better bring a heck of alot more to take me with him.

heh heh… not soon enough, though.
I would be thankful, if he flushed the toilet on Air Force One, and flew out the back of the plane at 36,000 ft.
