Vw employees vote against uaw

Organized crime has been tied to the big unions from the beginning. I suppose the Teamsters has gotten most of the press, but the old AFL-CIO was just as corrupt and rift with organized crime. I remember congressional hearings back in the 1960's. Organized crime was involved in the union pension funds. I could tell you some stories about unions and how they have operated over the years. The UAW first organized Ford with the help of the American Communist Party. Things were so bad that the state of Michigan had to call in the National Guard, if I remember correctly. They busted a few heads in order to organize Ford. They used the same tactics over and over again. They had one scandal after another during the 1960's and 70's. I think they have become a little more subtle over the years, but it is still the same organization. There is way too much money involved for them to have given up their control over the unions. I suppose it is easier to buy politicians to get what they want than continue breaking heads. From what I have seen, they can still be ruthless. I think that if it came down to it, they are still capable of using the same strong arm tactics.

I just read today that VW employees voted down the UAW because of racism according to one democrat. AMAZING!!! The UAW has started to whine foul. They are accusing our junion senator, Bob Corker, mayor and governor of undue influence or some nonsense. This is unbelievable. The UAW had complete access to VW employees for two years. Obama even made a statement in support of organizing. The company never interfered with their efforts and yet they are still calling foul. The president of the UAW even got up and spoke along with VW about the fairness of the election and how well VW acted during their organizational efforts. They now want the election put aside and have a new election. That is the communist way. They want to vote as many times as they can until they get the results that they want. With this election, voting was watched very carefully so there was little chance of fraud. The UAW is going NUTS!!! They are playing the loss down, but it is a major deal. This is an election that they thought they had in the bag. They now want the state of Tennessee to help them with funding on a new SUV line. Well, I suppose it is better than having to deal with the UAW. Just imagine how much money they lost. Not only did they lose the dues from new recruits, but more importantly, they lost all the retirement money that they would be able to use. Membership for the UAW is down 75%. They are desperate. There is something about VW, the UAW and the election every day on the local news.

GMAN, the UAW is claiming undue interference and influence from outside sources..............I had to actually laugh when I read that, pot meet kettle please. The UAW is an outside source being based in Detroit. Corker is the Senator for the Chattanooga area, lives there and yet he was being called an outsider who was meddling? Heck it was the UAW claiming that Corker himself had stated the UAW was a good thing when Corker was completely the opposite in reality.
The state of Tennessee had threatened to revoke all the tax breaks VW already receives and potential tax breaks for the new line of SUV's and plant expansion permits that could come to the 'Nooga plant had the UAW won the vote. Now that the election is over and the UAW lost, the state of Tennessee is now once again talking to VW about the potential expansion. When it became clear the vote was going to take place Tennessee walked away from the table with VW. They acted like VW had cancer and wanted nothing to do with them..........what's that make the state of Tennessee? They didn't want a vote at all, that's communist also.

Unions are a fairly mute point these days.
Back when they began popularity it was because long work weeks and next to nothing for pay and dangerous working conditions. All of those are relics in the modern work place, rendering unions into a useless drain. On a wall in a Bayview - in Milwaukee's Second Oldest Tavern, they still have signs on the wall for what the workers wanted from the employer. The Signage Reads pretty close to 888 "8hrs for Sleep, 8hrs for Work, 8hrs for what you will." Here is a review on the history of the signage and all of the pics of them. http://urbanmilwaukee.com/2013/03/31/taverns-the-141-year-history-of-puddlers-hall This is Puddler's main site. http://www.puddlershall.com
