Default Remembering

It is once again Memorial Day weekend. It is time to remember those Americans who have fallen in the name of liberty and for defending our nation. So many have died in defense of this nation. It is a reminder of the price we pay to live in a free country. We should also remember the families that they left behind. I just read a breakdown of those who died in Vietnam. Most were under 20 years of age. The largest groups was only 18 years of age, as I recall. It is much too young to die. But, these young men do their duty to their country and they have paid the ultimate price. We owe it to those who died for our freedom to honor them and to work to carry on their legacy to keep this country free. To the families of those who lost sons and daughters in service to this country, I think you for your sacrifice and that of your children, brothers and fathers. We owe everything that we have to these courageous individuals.

There are no happy Memorial days.. Americans just don't understand that.. They don't even know how hurtful that is.
