So, my husband returned off the road of 2 weeks with his trainer. He is working for PAM Transport. He is in Irving, Texas waiting for his upgrade. What happens next? Are they going to give him a truck and send him on the road, or will they send him home? He has been gone since Oct. 20.

 

LOL the infamous PAM, thats where i began my truckin career. Hopefully his trainer was better than mine. Mine was a bi polar crazy dude who would talk to himself lol. Usually what happens with PAM is that he gets upgraded, which means he gets assigned his own truck, since hes at the irving yard he shouldnt have a problem gettin a load out of the yard and start heading home. they let ya stay home if i remember for 5 days, then off ya go into the brutal world of truckin'. so yeah the answer to your question is he will be getting a load in the direction where ya'll live, deliver that load and go home.
