Food Network app for finding featured restaurants
#1
I *love* watching "Diners, Drive Ins & Dives" on the Food Network. The other night, I saw quick commercials/blips for iphone/android apps, so I thought I'd check it out this morning.
The app shows restaurants from 25 of their shows, or you can filter by specific shows. It's free, unless you want to post comments on the restaurants and to remove ads from the app. It's $2.99 for the paid version. West Virginia has 2 Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives: Hillbilly Hotdogs and Central City Cafe. I've been past Hillbilly Hotdogs a number of times, but never stopped, even though there's space on the side of the road for one or two trucks. The other is in downtown Huntington, so that one's off limits. There is a truckstop in Olive Hill, KY that they went to. It's the Smokey Valley Truckstop and is along I-64, east of Morehead. I've been past that truckstop a number of times as well, but now I know I'll be stopping there just to check it out.

Same here. I try to avoid the chain ones completely, with Petro's being the least avoided.
