I give up trying to figure out how you did that but Ajax Grapefruit dishsoap takes the diesel stains and smell out of my clothes.

Try using Dawn to clean up anything of the spill that is left. Pick up a box of baking soda. You can find it at any grocery store or Dollar General for about $1/box. Throw some on the spill and leave for a few days. It should get rid of the odor. If you don't want to use baking soda you can pick up a bottle of Fabreeze at Dollar General or any grocery store for about $1-2.

Well, you know how you should really make sure the nozzle is really secure in the tank before going to the other side-----i left my drivers door open----etc. etc. etc........

Now, i only fuel one side at a time.

i will explore and investigate all suggestions for the smell. Thank you to all for helping.

P.S. the smell is sort of wearing off a little naturally.
