Default Prisoners working sign

Is that so I'll try to miss them or should I punt them into the next county? I'm confused. I'm sure I remember my instructor at truck driving school saying that mowing people down like blades of grass is considered bad form. So why tell me not to do it if I already know not to? Hmmm The sign makes sense if they're telling me to take aim and nail as many as I can. After all, it costs a lot of money to feed and house prisoners. And then there's the prison overcrowding situation to think about. If I can free up a few beds I'm helping to get the bad guys off the streets now aren't I?

But maybe I don't feel like cleaning my windshield.

Perplexed in Alabama.

Your suppose to throw them cigarettes.
You can get them to dive into the next lane for them.
Time it right and let someone else clean their windshield.

Obnoxious in Michigan.

i think it all boils down to:

1) upbringing. Did the immate grow up with BOTH parents in the house AND were both parents on the up-and-up? If the immate grew up in a single parent household, then did the single parent do their best to stay positive and do the right things? If the child grows up in a negative household or in foster care/ the "system," then all bets are off.

1a) If the child DID grow up in an otherwise positive home, but there was abuse or other heavy tragedy, then all bets are off.

2) Mental condition. The mind is the weakest part of the body and it's so easy to get negative. However, if #1 above has been fullfilled you have a good chance of avoiding prison and/or other negative life patterns.

3) Genetic dispositions. i believe there is a genetic predisposition in certain individuals (who also tend to grow up in negative circumstances) leaning towards negative/criminal behaviour. However, again if #1 can be met, the problem is usually controlled.

What we REALLY need is larger prisons and longer sentences. i believe this can be achieved with better planning and management. i don't think "its a money issue."

Disappointed in rude jersey.
