I saw yesterday that the Flatwoods Truckstop (I-79, exit 67) will be a Pilot soon. They've already demolished the old fuel building and are putting up the new one. Looks like they're doing a good bit of work to the parking lot as well. On the good side though: it looks like the restaurant at the motel just above the parking lot is staying.

If the motel is not part of the truck stop, it may survive. Don't remember ever stopping there, so I don't know what the food is like. I do know that when Pilot took over the truck stop at the CT/MA line on I-84, the seperate bulding (with an very good restaurant) was closed down.

They've already replaced the billboard on the southbound side of the interstate before you get to the truckstop. It has the restaurant name still on it. The food is pretty decent.

heh, looks like the detroiter, in detroit is now a flying j as well. only truckstop i've been to up that way is the jane lew truckstop
