I see they also shut down "RELIABLE". They were all O/O, weren't they? I had always been under the impression that they were a good company to sign on with, but I was not going to paint my tractor orange.

Looks like they will be shutting down more outfits like this....how many companies have they shutdown now?? several thousand?
I wish we could go through the govt. jobs as well, and thin that herd.

Sweet baby Jesus those scores were ridiculous. An 81 in drugs & alcohol? What is their basis for ruling on fitness of drivers, no medical card?

As for Reliable Trans: http://www.joc.com/washington/fmcsa-...-trucking-firm

Quote:
The FMCSA said Reliable’s owner, Jay Zachary Barber, started Reliable shortly after his previous company, Factory Direct Foods, was shut down in January 2010.

That implies it’s likely Reliable is a “reincarnated carrier” started to avoid the earlier shutdown order by changing the name and some details of the company.

And today they shutdown 26 bus companies for their high scores and rogue activities. Of those 26 companies it was only like 3 companies in reality. Those 3 had renamed/rebranded a few times. They all ran along I-95 between Florida and NYC, the same route as the deadly crash a year ago here in VA.

That would be the only "RELIABLE" I've known, but considering the article suggests it's a re-incarnation of "FACTORY DIRECT FOODS", shut down in 2010, it looks like it's not the same one.

I know of another company they SHOULD shut down. I doubt, very much, that they've changed much of their operation over the last 5 years. Sure would like a complete list of companies to see if they're on it.
