Default Fuel/Gas prices

Think ours are high?

At #1, Norway with $10.50 a gallon for gasoline. Shockingly Turkey is #2 in the world at $10.44 a gallon for gasoline. No word on what diesel is running for the rest of the world.

I hope you don't think this is going to make us feel better. Honestly, I couldn't care less how much people in Norway or anywhere else pay for gas. It's how much WE PAY! Can we blame Obama yet? Oh never mind he's gonna save us by spending $50 million on an investagation, you know like the other five or six that have been done in the past ten years or so.

The majority of the costs in those countries are taxes. I agree with repete. I don't really care what any of these other countries pay for their gas or diesel. I DO care what we pay.

I think that we need to have a tax on politicians.

Do you guys not see how silly you are? You're complaining about $4 a gallon when it's more than double that elsewhere. Be thankful we aren't paying what the rest of the world is paying. Speaking of, a friend of mine from the UK was over here and she loaded up on batteries, Double and Triple A. Her reason, batteries over here are much cheaper than the UK. While we complain about those prices she was loving it.

No I don't think I'm being silly at all. Different things cost different amounts even here in these country. You know that so why wouldn't gas (in this case) cost more overseas? Should we pay the same for a gallon of gas here in the US as someone in some backwoods country that has to have it all shipped in? How about all the taxes some country's have ( make ours look small)In many of the EU country's they've saved TONS of money over the years (with us footing the lions share of defense costs) and have chosen to provide things like "free" health and dental care. Have seen any of the articles from the the UK on that? (look up VAT tax)
Last year my wife and I went on vacation, left NY in the last week of March and drove SW. Gas price was two something a gal. I figured a high of no more than $3. a gal. By the time we hit Ca It was $4.00+ when we got back east of the Mi River it was dropping back down to about $3.00. Should I have been happy it was ONLY $4? Or that the high price was ONLY out west? Was I being greedy for wanting $2.50 gal?

Uh repete, Norway is the world's #5 oil exporter and yet they are paying the highest price so yeah, you are being silly. My point was that it could be much worse for us yet your still failing to see that point. Look at Greece, they are paying something like $9-10 a gallon, the problem is that their fuel costs equate to roughly 30% of their monthly income vs here where it only equates to about 10-15%. If our prices were up at $10 a gallon then our monthly cost would equate to about 40% suddenly. Wouldn't that put a nice crimp on everyone. Get the point yet? Time for us to suck it up buttercup and stop whining.

AHHH Have you heard me whine?? You are the one that brought the subject up! And I still don't give a shizit what the price is or what Norway exports! For all I know or care they export crude and import gas, wouldn't that explain some of the cost add that to however much tax they pay and you get who cares!
Just cause they pay more should we? I'm I supposed to feel bad for them? Ifso ther'e alot more people in the world that are a lot more worse off and wish htere only problem was $10 gas.
You are right about it could be worse, we might not be able to build the Keystone pipeline OH thats right we can't! Well atleast we can drill again in the gulf, OPPS thats pretty much off limits too! DANG well it still could be worse IF OBAMA GETS ANOTHER TERM!

These socialist countries pay about the same for gas as we do. The reason their gas is so much higher at the pump, is made up by taxes. Our president and energy secretary are doing everything they can to see "fairness," and so we don't have to feel shame, that we aren't paying as high a tax as the poor starving french.
