Default How is everyone handling these high gas prices?

I work with a dispatcher here in Texas and was wondering what everyone is doing to battle these high gas prices? In the Dallas area we are at 4/gallon for diesel fuel. :-(

It's $3.99 here in VA along I-95. We are doing our best to shut the trucks off whenever we can, only run them when we need to ie: getting from Point A to Point B. Also trying to put less trucks on the road, pack'er in tight.

As you should. That's the way that particular bit of stimulus was designed. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?

One of our guys returned a few weeks ago from a route not too far from VA. My dispatcher and I are using an additive and we had some of our owner operators use and one of them saved more than $200 on a route from Atlanta to California. I believe he added a half mile per gallon to his Freightliner. I just passed by a gas station and saw 4.05 for diesel. OUCH!!! LOL!

LOL! Yeah our congress should be finding slolutions to battle these prices. The less we have in our pockets due to these gas prices the less disposable income we have to spend which helps move the economy.

We're moving the economy with these fuel prices. The only problem is that it's only moving to the pockets of the fuel companies already huge profits. They get to spend more on the stuff that's needed in life, like housing, food, etc.

LOL! I agree only a small portion is actually seen here versus some of these other countries with all the oil and resources. How high do you think these prices will get? Our regular unleaded just hit 3.89 but I'm looking at a 7-11 now and they are at 3.69.

O.K. Where's the link to the "fuel additive" you are trying to sell here, bud? [Or should I say SPAMMER?]

If I'm wrong, I'll apologize, but.... 4 posts since you "just" joined.... and ALL of them about fuel prices and an "additive?"

Smart of you to skip the "introduction" thread. The mods might have sniffed you out there.
