Default Porsche ruined

Going nowhere fast: Porsche driver gets car stuck in cement while trying to take a shortcut - Yahoo! Cars

Clee, that wasn't you was it? What a way to ruin a $90K car. The brakes might be ok and the tries will be fine if it's washed off before the crete hardens. The front end and undercarriage are junk, only way to get that cleaned is to use muriatic acid on it which is going to eat at other important items under there. The front end is probably busted open from nose diving into it. I do like how it's claimed he didn't get out for fear of the concrete getting in the car when he opened the door, it's a sidewalk it's only 4 inches deep, it ain't coming in those doors. He didn't get out because he was afraid of being seen as a twit.

Wow, that's hilarious. And the police car, too.

I actually don't own a car. If I ever had Porsche-worthy money, I would spend it on more worthy things than some of piece of metal that people stare at for 2 seconds.

Hmmm.... First guess is a New Yorker! If not... then a Seattle snob!

See? If YOU were required to fill out the location field.... I wouldn't have to wonder about it.

That was a stretch I never really ventured to when I was over there. "Zoomed" past there on the 405 at a whopping 25 mph heading up to Hollywood and Pasadena for the day. The little bit that I saw around LAX looked like a decent area. Whole lot better than South Central where I made the mistake of stopping for lunch right outside The Coliseum. I've never gone into a Mickey D's since that was outfitted like a prison.

Wouldn't mind retiring out there, I really liked the whole LA area. Everybody talks about the traffic but I never really saw a lot of it except on the 101 up near Chavez Ravine as the Dodgers had an early afternoon game that day. Soon as I hit the 110 I was free and clear right thru the heart of downtown LA all the way to Long Beach.

They don't call it Smell Segundo for nothing!

Manhattan Beach down to Torrance Beach is still nice, especially the bike path by the beach. The main road gets as congested as anywhere else in LA.

The 405 is the world's worst highway/largest parking lot.

If one can avoid the traffic, LA can be a good, diverse experience. It has beach, ghetto, funky areas, glamor areas, immigrant populations, nature preserves, the whole gamut. I don't mind it here so long as I avoid the traffic.
