Happy THANKSGIVING....
#11
I'm very sorry for your loss, especially at this time, Wabbit. Sounds like he was very special to your family. But, like you said... your dad had a whole lifetime up until now to enjoy such a good brother. That is a life well lived and one greatly appreciated. Sounds like he enjoyed his life, too. Horses and golf... it don't get much better. I'm glad to hear that your father is still with you. I bet he's got lots of good stories about your uncle. And I'm sure your uncle was very proud and fond of you.
If you feel like sharing, I'd love to hear any stories you'd like to tell of him. A real-life cowboy, I bet! Born in the 20's... in Texas? (maybe Oklahoma.) Close enough. Bet he broke a bronc or two in his time! A real American, no doubt. It may not seem like it right now, but in future years I hope you will celebrate this holiday with the spirit of Thanksgiving for the many years that he was a part of your life. I will keep you in my thoughts... as I always do. Hobo

I always thought of that as... Not really impersonal... I dunno, not really appropriate? Too "generic"..
