Europe RARELY would have a tornado because they don't have the same weather patterns (jet stream location) in the same proximity to bodies of water with similar temperatures to the ones that surround our country (continental supersphere... is that the word?)

I haven't googled tornadoes in Europe.... but, I think I understood what he was saying, and I take him at his word.

Obviously, Europe doesn't have tornados because they are all SOCIALISTS! And have less "hot air" than we do here in America!

J/K..... really, I thought that was interesting.

Here Hobo....Just out of curiosity, I googled tornadoes in Europe for you. I posted the Wiki link....goes it does a good job of covering the subject!

Thanks, OTX! I guess they DO have some.... but, nowhere near as many (MAYBE 1/3rd for the whole continent,) and not as strong.

When was the last time we heard of a European city (of any size) being wiped out like some of ours have been?

I think the article mentioned about 100 (smallish) tornados on average for the entire continent per year.... and we average 12 TIMES that?

That is correct on Europe, I think England saw 2 or 3 last year alone with was odd for them. Australia seems to see a good amount as does the southern area of Asia but no other place in the world see's as many as the US/North America. The only place that has never seen a tornado, Antarctica. Bangladesh has seen the worst of the worst with tornado's, 1989 saw the worst death toll, 1300 people.
