Default Tolls Galore

I just calculated the tolls I've had to "front" Celadon this week and last week. Last week was $84.10. This week is $193.30. Gawd...

I'll be picking up my Ez-Pass tomorrow (finally, but still too late).

Doesn't that just make you want to jump whole hog into O/O?

Anytime I came out of Jersey, I'd follow I-95 through Philla and into DE. Than, US-301 to the bridge at US-50 and over to DC. That meant skipping the tolls in DE and the bridge on I-95 in MD. I'd also make my way down through Jersey so that I didn't have any tolls and come out at Trenton. The way I went, I missed Baltimore and half of DC. But, I don't know any good way around the tolls in NY. There, you're stuck.

I see alot more truck traffic running back & forth on Rts 5&20 instead of paying tolls on I90

Hey Mal - my second favorite place for having ezpass is Chicago. The tolls aren't as bad but the cash only lines are soooooo lonnnggggg. A deeply caring person like myself can't help but look over at the good folks waiting in line and saying "So long suckers" as I speed off. (if they could hear me I'd be dead now)

Stopped in the Indy terminal today to get my Ez-Pass. They sent out a fleet message last week saying that all drivers could stop and pick them up. Guess what? They have no Ez-Passes left, and the ones they did have were only given to drivers who run specific areas.

Bah.

Bah.
Guess that means that Celadon wants you to cut out those areas where EZ-Pass covers the tolls huh??

Wait, why are they taking so long to implement those things? Out of 9 trucks I've had with this outfit, all of 'em had working PrePass+(PrePass + EZPass) transponders. Is yours a new truck, or are they just now getting them?

They're just now putting them on all the trucks. Before, the only trucks that had EzPass were Canadian regional.
