LOL, he needs to holler at the Dept. of Labor or better yet, a lawyer...his boss could have told the lady not to call again or he would report her for harassement. this is def. wrongful termination.

Actually......If his boss told him to have her quit calling, and she did not...then the boss had every right to terminate the guy.

Back in 1986 my brother went through this very same thing at a major company....Only it was his wife doing the calling...and the management had asked her to not call every day....and had asked my brother to tell her to quit calling the office. They even asked me to talk with the "Mouth".

EEOC does not apply, when an employee can not, or will not, control a wife...Or an"Ex", even a collection agency....as far as phone calls to the work place go. If the employee won't deal with it, the employer can....simply by terminating the employment.

In the State of Florida, it is illegal for a collection agency to call a business phone to try to collect a debt. I don't know if that's national or not, but it is here. And, a few collection agencies have been taken into court for it.

That is true..it is on a state by state basis. However...the article that VIP posted about, said the call's were caused by his (the fired employee) "Ex".
