I KNOW they don't, nor does anyone else. The difference between me and some other people is, I DON'T CARE. I DON'T EXPECT ANYONE TO TAKE CARE OF ME :banghead: Those "greedy" corporations haven't lived MY life for me, I have, therefore I am responsible for myself and my actions, not anybody else.

IS IT JUST ME???

Why am I having so much trouble getting my point across? Anybody?

Let me put it this way. I agree with you that their are a ton of greedy people and corporations in this country. Look at Bill Gates, what's he worth? 85 billion dollars? Now what in the world can you do with that much money? (rhetorical question).

Look at these athletes. Alex Rodriquez, he signed a $250 million dollar contract a few years ago. I think that is TOTALLY insane. That's why I don't go to professional sporting events, I'm not going to be a part of somebody making that much money.

These corporations, sure they don't pay enough money to some of their employees, but you know what? From what I have seen on the "outside" and here where I work, VERY FEW people give an honest day's work. Why would I pay top dollar for some lazy a** who wants to complain all day, take a 10 minute break and turn it into a 20 or 30 minute break. Take a 45 min lunch and turn it into 1 1/2 hr lunch. I see it everyday, with the contractors that work on base and the federal employees I work with, and when they are suppose to be working they are standing around talking.

I've never seen so many hurt/sick people in my life, (light duty), anything to get a paycheck but not work for it. You know what most of these hurt/sick people are doing away from work? Softball, skiing, frisbee golf, hunting, fishing ETC., ETC., ETC., But when they are at work, I can't do this or I can't do that because of this.

MY POINT? EVERYBODY, including me, does what they want with THEIR money. If you don't like what you (generalizing) make, go work somewhere else, start your own company, get an extra job, or shut the F**K up and go to work! BUT LEAVE MINE & EVERYBODY ELSE'S MONEY ALONE!!! IT'S NOT YOURS!!!

Robertt, did you watch 60 minutes this past week. Bill Gates and his wife started and operate the Gates Foundation which is responsible for giving away well over 60 Billion of their own money to various charities world wide, they have joined together with fellow billionaire Warren Buffet and continue to pledge billions to charaties. His wife is an active member of the foundation on a daily basis. Bill Gates and his wife have have also challenged all other billionaires to give away the majority of their fortune to charaties of their choice.
I hope you don't the Gates Family as one of those greedy people, and if you do I challenge you to do some research on the foundation maybe you will come away with a different outlook on them, in my eyes they are great humanitarians.

By the way I agree with you on the high pay for professional sports, My dad always told me as a kid why was I helping to make someone else richer by paying such high prices for concerts or sporting events, Now I see his point.. However as long as the public pays for it people will get the money just like the idiots on the Jersey Shore, some people seem to like them and in return they are now making 100's of Thousands of dollars that would have taken them decades to make by working in a normal job. Who's fult is that??? The American Public, sad but true and as long as life is lived this way how can we expect our government to straighten up.
It won't happen on either side.

I was being sarcastic. But I do agree. What these people are doing is amazing. I would like to think I would do the same thing.... well I would. I don't have any money and I still give to charity. CFC was just at work today and I made my annual contribution. It's not alot but it's something.

Hey Hobo. Just a simple yes or no question, I think. What if.....what "WE" are all talking about, worried about, arguing with you and a couple of other folks about, convinced about, and what we say about this president and administration, is true. Would it be OK with you? Just wondering.

I asked you this once before in more detail and never got an answer so I shortened it.

NO.

But, that's because you have an EXTREME view of what he/they is/are.

I am FOR some of his "progressive" agenda, but NOT the total "socialism" that you think he wants. Unlikely as it is.... IF y'all were 100% correct with your "dire predictions," I would stand alongside of you in defense of MY America!

Good 'nuff for now?

I remember you asking me once HOW I felt about him... and I answered in detail. If I MISSED this particular question and failed to respond, I apologize.

There has never been ANY question in MY mind that I am a patriot! "WE" just differ somewhat (but not that much) on what this country should be LIKE... or who is at fault.

But, mostly we just differ on YOUR opinion of Obama and his administration and policies.

Just for the record, I do not nor do I think I have ever questioned your patriotism, and also, I am not saying that you have accused me of such. Just want to set the record straight as far as I am concerned.

Thanks for the honesty. atriot:

Well, when we FIRST "met," you accused me of being "what was wrong with this country."

But, I think we've grown beyond that. I REALLY am glad that you didn't let me "run you off." I REALLY enjoy debating with you. [though after seeing your picture, I'm not sure I want to do so IN PERSON! :lol2: ]

We're cool, robertt! You're a "demonstrative" Patriot. I'm more of an "inquisitive" patriot. You clearly define your postition as you understand it, and I am the "check and balance" that makes sure you don't cross the "constitutional" line!

One of my favorite movies is "The Patriot" starring Mel Gibson (I think that is the title.) I'm SURE you have seen it. After "seeing what he had seen," Gibson was more of a peaceful man. It took alot to get him to go "postal" again for his country. He was not an "appeaser," but... he abhorred WAR as a resolution to problems of State.

I guess I'm somewhat like that. I DO believe that there are "political" solutions to most of the world's / country's problems. I certainly want to BELIEVE that. But, if push comes to shove.... I know how to use a gun, and I will DO so to protect my country, my family, and my way of life!

We have THAT in common. We are both Americans. We are ALL Americans!
