It evokes the image of rats abandoning ships and I'm certain we will see a lot more in the coming months.

The tone of this article, drives home the point, that none of "OUR" politicos "Get it."

Obama hit hard as Bayh bows out - Yahoo! News

It isn't supposed to be about "Republican" or "Democrat". It's supposed to be about "The United States of America". Maybe Bayh understands that. Maybe not.

But damn sure....all of those whom are currently in Washington DC have failed to grasp that our country is in need of more than just "Corporate America" needs and goals.

I've been expecting them to distance themselves from Obama.
I did not expect them to go to that extent.

The up coming election would be much more interesting if these rats would stick around so that they can be exposed for what they truly are. I expected them to put up more of a fight.

Oh boy. I have to restrain myself from using the kind of language that immediately comes to mind.

They are exposing themselves for what they truly are . . a bunch of chicken**** quitters who are unwilling to take on a fight because they lack the guts or wits to confront and tackle the real business of our Republic. The walking excrement, Rangle, Pelosi, Frank, to name a few . . good stinkin' riddance and I hope your successors go after your pensions and benefits.

The American people are at long last awakening themselves to the nonsense these turds have perpertated in the name of getting elected and reelected.

Well...If you take an honest look at it, Bayh would most likely keep his senate seat, if he were to run for re-election.

He is choosing to not run, because he disagrees with the manner in which business in Congress is done.

For good or bad.

I don't like any of the people currently holding office.

Republican, Democrat, Independent, Green Party, Libertarian Party, Faux-News Party...they are all crooks and liars. They all bow, with their hands held out, to Corporate America.

The decisions they make, are made at the behest of, and for the benefit of, "Corporate America", and the band of thieves that make up that gang.

When Glen Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Shaun Hanitty, Rush Limbaugh, or any of the other simpering talking heads at the other news networks, spout their drivel, they spout the drivel that will pad their pockets the most, from the pockets of "Corporate America". They have no interest in what the average American is going through, because they all consider themselves better than the "average" citizen.

Jerry Springer is honest enough to acknowledge that his show and opinions, are for entertainment and self-enrichment purposes.

That other group of self aggrandizing "Spouting Goons" are not honest enough to admit that they do not care for, or have any interest in, the average American citizen. Instead, they spout their drivel, and scream about how they and they alone, know the cure for America.

Ask that bunch to work for free...and really cure the problems our country faces.........and watch them run for Belize or The Grand Caymans, where their money is stashed.

In case you haven't noticed..several Republicans are stepping down as well. Kay Bailey Hutchison is one such. She has chosen to run for the position of Governor of the state of Texas, instead of re-election as a Senator for the state of Texas.

okay....me done ranting now

ONLY for a reactionary who shouts halleluiah before checking the FACTS! :hellno:

[edit] Overview of races (36 seats)
  • Retiring Democrats (5 seats)
  • Retiring Republicans (6 seats)
  • Democratic incumbents (13 seats)
  • Republican incumbents (12 seats)
Quote: Of the remaining seats currently up for election in 2010, 18 are held by Democrats (5 of whom are retiring) and 18 are held by Republicans (6 of whom are retiring).
These figures come AFTER the special election to fill Kennedy's seat. I don't know about SOME of you.... but, I wouldn't call this "rats jumping ship!" Some of these may see the writing on the wall.... others just might be old and ready to pack it in. Either way, the numbers are WAY TOO CLOSE for people to get all excited and such... UNLESS of course.... they are getting their NEWS and forming their OPINIONS from FAUX NEWS!! :hellno::lol:

[p.s. for the mathematically challenged here.... that is ONE MORE Republican announcing retirement than Democrats!]

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

There is way too much partisanship on both sides. These people need to do what is best for the country rather than any special interest group. We need to elect people who have actually worked for a living or ran businesses and who only want to come for a term or two and then go back to their lives. These people don't seem to know what is right or wrong. They only care about who has the deepest pockets. Corporate America has certainly been the recipient of much of their favor, as have the major labor unions. I wish all of them would decide on their own to leave this year. And before they leave they should rescind the bill that provided for their rich retirement. Let them sign up for social security like the rest of America. I am sure that they can live of $1,000/month as does the average social security recipient. They don't really need or deserve a $15,000 per month retirement income after only one term.
