WOW,
as a new person to this board I find it amazing that people can revel in another person's death just because they disagree with what they stand for. How sad..... Post IP Addresses • the sky is falling 67.8.144.66 • TimberWolf 67.8.144.66 Whoops, I blinked. You know, for someone that was desperate to get banned and didn't have the brass marbles to simply walk away like a man, instead having to resort to posting garbage p0rn grap, it didn't take you long to come crawling back. The ban stands. What you did was WAY beyond the bounds of decency and you know it.

That's a very touching eulogy. On behalf of the family, Bless you, TF.
Until then, how about some consideration for the marines and the families of marines that Murtha has screwed over. If you can agree than Murtha's actions have caused irreparable harm to a great many soldiers and their families, then you have no voice to challenge my depiction of him because it's accurate. It's no different than Kennedy being guilty of voluntary manslaughter at the very least and not being held accountable for killing a young girl. And also like Kennedy, my opinion of the man has not changed, just because he's now dead. And finally, you will notice that I never said I was glad he was dead, but I'm not shy about pointing out what a piece of crap he was, living or dead. I find it amusing that apparently a person's negative opinion of someone and their actions is automatically supposed to change to one of honor and grace after the person dies, even if they have been a piece of crap in life. Do you believe we should honor Adolph Hitler? Jeffrey Dahmer? Timothy McVeigh? If I truly believe that people like Kennedy and Murtha are lousy human beings in life, why should I have to change that opinion now that they are dead? Why should I have to silence it? It's an honest question. When I die, I'm fairly certain that the majority of people that I know are going to be sad and express their condolences to my family. On the flip side, there are going to be those few like Hobo and Timberwolf that will probably throw a party and celebrate. So what? I'm dead, why should I care? As long as they don't publish photos of my dead body all over newspapers against my family's wishes or pull a Fred Phelps at my funeral, my family isn't going to give a damn what they think either. So it seems like your angst is much ado about nothing. Just sayin'.

I didn't neither. I heard about it on the news. All I heard was that he was a congressman. Then I saw the thread, and it didn't take me long to figure out that he was a little 'off key'.

So, if I missed the subtle humor in your post, then I offer my apologies. I stand by my response, though, and when Hobo comes on this weekend and castigates me for my cold heart, I’ll just point him to that post.
Get over yourself.

Obviously, such things as War and God and Politics is serious bizness.... and should be left to the grownups to discuss!
